Day One: Make your kitchen table a Venus offering. Bouquets of flowers and palo santo and rose quartz and expensive matches. Give it all up to her. She’ll help you create magic.
Day Two: When the man at the coffee shop asks you how your day is, don’t just respond with “good.” Tell him something, something big or small. Give everyone a glimpse of your life. Life is about sharing our stories with strangers.
Day Three: What’s your signature scent? Mine is gardenia and rosewater. Rose perfume isn’t just a “mature” scent. That’s a hoax. It’s all about finding the right one.
Day Four: Let your friends remind you of how beautiful you really are.
Day Five: Speaking of beauty - what’s your beauty routine? But the one that starts right when you close your eyes. Where do you go when you fall asleep? Who do you think of? What do you pray to? And who do you pray for?
Day Six: Write a letter to your mother. But a younger version of her. The version of her that she thought she lost, the version of her she always wanted to be.
Day Seven: Tattoos make us remember. And the more you have, the more you’ll want to remember.
Day Eight: I know it’s early winter and it’s cold and it’s dark, but I still want to wear dresses. Make a shopping list: buy a cute pair of tights.
Day Nine: On a Saturday night, light a candle, and say i love you.
Day Ten: They will text you. They will write to you. They might even call. But I think you were too busy in heaven to notice.
